I also made sure I got to grips with both the car and the track before I utilised the boost and when I
did finally use it I found laps of 66.5, 66.3 and finally 66.1 whilst the other driver on track, who’d
already tested the car recently, managed a best of only 67.0. This put me ahead of where even I
expected to be today and so I called time a little early on my session”

"I'm really pleased with the way things have gone today and it shows all the hard work I've put in at
the gym over the winter has really paid off. The FPA is a more physical car to drive than the Formula
BMW, so the strength and fitness training is paying dividends. The calendar is an exciting one and
features some great meetings at which sponsors can entertain guests, whilst the field is looking like
it's going to be very competitive. That said, I’m not here to make up the numbers – I want to win
the championship this season, both for myself and my sponsors.”Moyers added.

Dan Woodington, Sporting Relations Director of sponsorship agents Karbon Racing added: "We're really
pleased with the pace Mike has shown today and it should stand him in good stead for the season.
We've nearly got the financial package sorted for him now, although we’re still looking to get one or two
other sponsors on-board. Building Services Design, who sponsored Michael in BMW last year, are going
to be his main sponsor again this year and everyone is delighted about their continued support. We
hope that both Mike and his sponsors will enjoy further successes on and off track in 2008.”
